It's My Bay Leadership Awards

Oxfords and Oysters

Join us at Oxfords & Oysters 2010, an end-of-summer celebration, on September 18, hosted by Sky Blue Events and catering to Baltimore’s smart, sophisticated, young professionals. It's the perfect combination of food, libations, live music, and waterfront location (Little Havana at the Inner Harbor) and offers a unique way to support the Oyster Recovery Partnership. Click here for ticket information.

Shell Recycling Alliance Expands

The Oyster Recovery Partnership Shell Recycling Alliance has expanded into Ocean City. The Alliance was established earlier this year in partnership with restaurants and catering companies in Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and Annapolis to recycle used oyster shell. Ocean City businesses, including Phillips Restaurants, Embers Seafood Buffet, Bonfire Buffet, Harrison Harborwatch and Reflections Raw Bar, have now joined the Alliance, which now includes more than 30 businesses. Collecting and reusing shells enhances the wild population with hatchery-produced stock, and also raises public awareness of the value of oysters to the Bay's overall recovery. We Need Your Help

For 15 years, the Oyster Recovery Partnership, with its coalition of partners, has been planting hundreds of millions of disease-free oysters back into the Chesapeake Bay. Costing only a few cents to produce and plant, a small donation can plant thousands of oysters and help us restore the Chesapeake Bay. Please help us make a difference. Donate or Volunteer today.

Our Mission

The Oyster Recovery Partnership(ORP) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit based in Annapolis, MD whose mission is to restore the oyster, clean our Bay and preserve our future. ORP actively promotes, supports and restores oysters for ecologic and economic purposes. We engage in numerous Chesapeake Bay-related projects by conducting science-based “in-the-water” and “on-the-land” recovery efforts, while conducting public outreach and education in our quest to protect our environment, our heritage, and our knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay, its marshes and rivers, and the life that it sustains.
