PROJECTS - 2007   The Oyster Recovery Partnership planted 137 million spat-on-shell on 102 acres during its 2007 planting season. Eighteen different oyster bars were planted on 22 occasions from May 3rd through October 1st. Of these plantings, 52% of the disease-free spat were planted on sanctuaries, 39% on managed reserves, and 9% on harvest and miscellaneous privately funded bars.
