Shuck Like a Pro with District Fishwife & Wither Hills

Join us for a hands-on, flavor-packed experience that goes beyond the plate. In partnership with District Fishwife, one of DC’s go-to spots for fresh, sustainable seafood, we’re excited to bring you an event that’s equal parts fun and impactful.

At this Shuck Like a Pro class, you’ll learn how to properly shuck oysters—and along the way, discover how oysters play a critical role in restoring and protecting the Chesapeake Bay. From filtering water to building reef habitat for fish and crabs, oysters are tiny powerhouses that keep our Bay healthy.

And it doesn’t stop there—recycling shells from the oysters you eat helps rebuild those reefs, making every bite part of something bigger.

Your ticket includes:
🦪 A full shucking setup—gloves, towel, shucking block, and a knife to take home
🍽️ Six oysters to shuck and enjoy
🍷 A glass of Wither Hills Sauvignon Blanc to pair
💙 And best of all: $20 from each ticket supports ORP’s work to plant 2,000 oysters back into the Bay
