Meet Brine: The Perfect Pour for Oysters

Brine wine bottle with glass of wine beside

Just in time for oyster season comes a wine made with the Chesapeake in mind. Brine, from Old Westminster Winery, is a crisp, refreshing white in the style of Vinho Verde — light, zesty, and crafted to complement oysters at their best.

Brine is also wine with purpose. For every bottle sold, $1 will be donated to Oyster Recovery Partnership to support large-scale oyster restoration in the Bay. Oysters are natural water filters, creating habitat and improving water quality for countless species. With Brine, what’s in your glass is connected to what’s happening below the surface.

Celebrate at the Launch Party

On Thursday, October 9th, Old Westminster and Shell Recycling Alliance member True Chesapeake are hosting a launch celebration featuring:

  • Heavy hors d’oeuvres from chefs Zack Mills & Tae Strain
  • An open wine bar showcasing Brine
  • An open oyster bar 🦪

🎟️ Reserve your spot here and be among the first to enjoy Brine.

A Toast to Old Westminster

Old Westminster Winery continues to earn national recognition — from a VinePair Next Wave Award finalist nomination to sister-winery Burnt Hill Farm being named one of America’s Most Beautiful Vineyards by Food & Wine. With Brine, they’ve created not only a wine of distinction but one that uplifts the Chesapeake Bay. ORP is honored to be the beneficiary of this release and grateful to the Baker family and the Old Westminster team for their vision and generosity.

Raise a Glass, Support the Bay

Brine is available to order online ($26) and at select regional retailers including The Wine Source, MOM’s Rockville, and Bin 604. Whether you’re opening a bottle at home or attending the launch celebration, each glass celebrates the connection between land, water, and community.

🍷🦪 Here’s to wine with purpose, and to a healthy Chesapeake.
